ANOMALOUS QUIPU

The word quipu in this installation efers not to the ones that were made by Andean cultures to act as accounting instruments, but rather to designate the diagram that represents the situation of our solar system in the graphic message that Carl Sagan, Linda Salzman and Frank Drake designed to accompany the Pioneer probe on its interstellar voyage. The similarity between the encoding of said diagram and the latest academic theories about the interpretation of quipus gives rise to the intersection of both technological horizons.
