In the series of panels titled Fortune, the stars of the night sky are represented as a collection of coins embedded in a field of felt, each face of which, in turn, bears the representation of one or more stars. The values represented by each coin – economic, ideological, historical, or merely nominal – are legible on this map through the random stellar order, with its own magnitudes, intensities, classifications and distances measured in light years, frequencies and ages.
