Variable measurements
This installation combines two crafts, one utilitarian – the carpet – and the other related to spiritual and religious practices – sand painting. Its placement within the exhibition space, barely protected from the external elements by a curtain that flaunts the shadow of false iron bars, emphasizes and accelerates its degradation and vulnerability, while it perpetuates the illusion of a vaguely domestic setting.
