JAILS AND JAGUARS
2020
These works allow us to see a jaguar both inside and outside its cage, using the very simple gesture of folding the paper, or suggesting a fold in the stone, to reveal a free jaguar roaming behind. As the fold reveals the free jaguars, it also turns their camouflage pattern into symmetrical forms, thus breaking up its shape and creating another layer of concealment.
